Running for Tohoku
InsideJapan Tours are running to raise cash for charity
Both the UK and US offices of InsideJapan Tours are running half marathons to raise money for the Japanese charity, Civic Force. Having already raised more than £22,000 for the charity which is directly involved in relief efforts in the tsunami hit Tohoku region, InsideJapan decided to do something a bit more active. The team of Japan experts are definitely not athletes, but are putting in the training so that they can raise money and awareness of the ongoing situation in this north eastern region of Japan. The Bristol half marathon takes place on September 11th exactly 6 months after the devastating tsunami making the event that much more poignant for the IJT team. Meanwhile, Mat Eccles in our US office will be running the Boulder half marathon on September 5th in a display of solidarity with his UK colleagues and support for the people of Tohoku. InsideJapan’s Samurai Striders, the Wasabi Warriors and Mat would very much appreciate your support and ask you to pledge money for the good work of Civic Force and Tohoku.
