Japanese cricket team to play in UK
The national cricket team of Japan will be playing in Knebworth tomorrow (May 20th), it has emerged.

According to reports, the Japan national cricket team will be playing at Knebworth Park Cricket Club - the team will be playing against an MCC XI lead by Devon Malcolm.

The event will begin at 11:00 BST and comes after the Japanese side participating in a practice game against Turnham Green on May 18th.

"This historic game [was] the highlight of the Green's 2008 season and a rare chance to see international sporting action in Chiswick," said the Turnham Green Cricket Club.

"[And] this fixture comes over a hundred years since the Green's last home international fixture."

In 1868 Turnham Green Cricket Club played against Australia.

After the event on Tuesday, Japan will be travelling to Jersey to participate in an International Cricket Council event - the team will be competing against a number of different countries, including Singapore, Botswana, Afghanistan and Germany.
