Sushi Breakfast at Tsukiji

Overview

Nothing in the world is quite like Tsukiji fish market. This is the embodiment of organised chaos: Miniature trucks race to and fro laden with all manner of products from boxes of prawns to huge tuna; unintelligible auctioneers shout the latest prices as the day's catch is sold off to the market wholesalers; chefs from across the city make their way from stall to stall, inspecting the goods and choosing the best for that day's menu. Yet amidst the madness one thing becomes abundantly clear: Everyone has their role and knows their job backwards. A visit to Tsukiji is one of the experiences to be had in Tokyo.

However, in recent years the market has begun to struggle, having to compete with the supermarkets and discount retailers. In order to try and assist the market in some way InsideJapan Tours are pleased to be able to offer a voucher for a set course sushi breakfast at Tsukiji. There are many small, family owned restaurants and stalls within the market which rely on the market visitors for their living. As well as giving our customers the chance to enjoy the best sushi in Japan, we are delighted to be able to put a little something back into this unique and fascinating corner of Tokyo.

When:

The market is open Monday to Saturday. However, be careful when planning your visit. The market is closed on all national holidays, on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of every month and on other days close to the New Year, Golden Week and Obon holiday seasons. You can check the opening days here:
