Japanese yaki-mono (pottery) is well known around the world for its high quality and distinctive styles. For everyone who would like to try their hands at this tricky art then we have the perfect experience.
Housengama is a well-known pottery studio located near Sanjusangendo temple, just a short taxi ride from Kyoto station. Here you can experience a hands-on pottery lesson led by Housengama?s expert staff who speak a little English and offer a number of options and designs to follow. You can arrange foryour finished items to be glazed and then shipped internationally if you wish (an extra cost applies and the service takes about three months).

The Housengama pottery studio is located close to Sanjusangendo temple just to the south of Kyoto station. A taxi from the station will take in the region of five minutes.
