Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics Games

The Tokyo 2020 Olympics and Paralympics have been postponed until the summer of 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Though the Games are now held in 2021, the official name remains Tokyo 2020.
The current dates for the Olympics Games are 23rd July ~ 8th August 2021.
The current dates for the Paralympics Games are 24th August ~ 5th September 2021.
A series of playbooks for athletes, press, and broadcasters has been published with the aim of making the Games as Covid-secure as possible.
International spectators will not be allowed to visit Japan.
The Japanese government have decided to allow up to 10,000 domestic spectators with a cap of 50% capacity at its Olympic games venues (The Guardian).
The Tokyo government has started to vaccinate those involved in the Olympics using the Pfizer vaccine (Japan Times).
Media personells attending the games will also have their movements for the first 14 days of their arrival and to remain in qurantine unless they have pre-booked arrangements. After the initial period, they will be permitted to work and interact with people as normal (Nikkei Asia).
Prime Minister Suga continues to declare that the games can be held safely with strict guidelines in place (NHK World).
