All the hotels were excellent, with often larger rooms than we expected. Where food was included, the accommodation providers handled my allergy issues extremely well, and without fuss.

Tada-san was an excellent guide, full of knowledge and enthusiasm who gave us a real insight into Kyoto and into Japanese society and history
