Our team at Inside Japan Tours
The sun never sets on the InsideJapan Tours team (well, maybe on Sundays) as we have offices in Bristol (UK), Boulder, (USA), Brisbane (Australia) and Nagoya (Japan). On this page you can meet the people behind our Japan tours and holidays.
We have a wide range of backgrounds and interests, but you can be sure that the one thing that ties us all together is a love of Japan, Japanese culture and a passionate desire to share that with other people.
From the accounts department, through the travel consultant teams to the tour leaders and guides on the ground, you can rest assured that everything we do is to make sure you have the best possible experience of Japan.

Like many of our travel consultants, Ricky's first foray into Japanese culture was via the country's inimitable anime and manga.
Growing up though, he discovered these stories pale in comparison to the country's labyrinth of myths, legends and horror stories. Longing to learn more, Ricky moved from Brisbane to work as a Coordinator of International Relations in Oyama City.
Perfectly located to explore both city and country, some of Ricky's favourite trips were to Sendai in the Tohoku region. As well as being a laidback city surrounded by countryside, picturesque Matsushima Bay (a place so scenic, its been designated one of the 'Three Views of Japan') is just a short trip away. It's not all standing around taking snaps though. Arrive hungry - according to Ricky, it has the best oysters in the whole country.
As with every element of Japan, there's a counterpart to every cultural aspect with one foot firmly in the future, and another donning a traditional shoe. In Ricky's case, his love of getting out into the Japanese countryside contrasts wildly with his other major passion: gaming. Something he's so into, he runs an online gaming video series.
There's a lot going on behind the screen too. Ricky's impressive background in Martial Arts has seen him achieve a Second Dan in Taekwondo and a Second Den in Iaido, and compete in regional competitions, before turning his attention to Wing Chun Kung Fu. We're getting tired just thinking about it.
With a jumper's worth of Japan tips up his sleeve, Ricky worked for the Japan National Tourism Organization in Sydney before joining our team.
