Our team at Inside Japan Tours
The sun never sets on the InsideJapan Tours team (well, maybe on Sundays) as we have offices in Bristol (UK), Boulder, (USA), Brisbane (Australia) and Nagoya (Japan). On this page you can meet the people behind our Japan tours and holidays.
We have a wide range of backgrounds and interests, but you can be sure that the one thing that ties us all together is a love of Japan, Japanese culture and a passionate desire to share that with other people.
From the accounts department, through the travel consultant teams to the tour leaders and guides on the ground, you can rest assured that everything we do is to make sure you have the best possible experience of Japan.

Originally from South Africa, Malcolm spent two years in London before happily settling in Australia in 2005, finding the friendly and laidback nature perfectly suited to his personality.
While he loves living in Brisbane, he still takes any opportunity to see new places and has 18 countries and 3 years in the travel industry under his belt.
Malcolm became hooked on Japan after watching classic anime films such as Moldiver, Tenchi Muyo, Akira and Princess Mononoke on video (back when VHS was still a thing). These days, this self-confessed geek (and proud) has a huge anime and manga collection; loves playing video games and Dungeons and Dragons; and even has three cats named after fictional characters: Rubeus (Harry Potter), Regis (Forgotten Realms) and Rygel (Farscape).
It's not just anime and video games though, Malcolm's a man of many hobbies, having studied Chinese kung fu for 7 years, tai chi for 3 years and European sword fighting for a year. Willing to give anything a go, he enjoys Japanese karaoke, has 2 tattoos and loves Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki (savoury pancake).
He also once took a trip to Nozawa Onsen ski resort on New Year's Eve, despite being terrible at skiing. While his technique on the slopes showed room for improvement, he found soaking in the onsen (hot spring bath) amongst the snow more than worth the aching muscles.
If you're after top tips for the best places to go in Japan, the greatest fantasy anime or après-ski with a twist, Malcolm is your go-to beer buddy in Brisbane.
