Our team at Inside Japan Tours
The sun never sets on the InsideJapan Tours team (well, maybe on Sundays) as we have offices in Bristol (UK), Boulder, (USA), Brisbane (Australia) and Nagoya (Japan). On this page you can meet the people behind our Japan tours and holidays.
We have a wide range of backgrounds and interests, but you can be sure that the one thing that ties us all together is a love of Japan, Japanese culture and a passionate desire to share that with other people.
From the accounts department, through the travel consultant teams to the tour leaders and guides on the ground, you can rest assured that everything we do is to make sure you have the best possible experience of Japan.
Abby's love of getting off the beaten track has led her to have adventures in countless different countries.
Where many powder hounds flock to the French Alps, after working as a ski instructor in Switzerland, Abby left Europe's frosty slopes in search of something more special in the snowy climes of Jindabyne in Australia and Niseko on Japan's northernmost island, Hokkaido. Skiing in the hidden gem of Kiroro (you heard it here first), with fresh lines from first lift to last, is one of her favourite travel memories.
While she's originally from Salisbury, having lived in seven different countries, it doesn't take Abby long to acclimatise and start living like the locals do - like most people in Hokkaido, soup curry, the regional speciality, soon became her daily favourite dish. Now back in the UK, the days of ski slopes and soup curry are long gone. We do have affordable cheese though, so it's not all bad.
In place of whizzing down those brilliant white slopes, Abby regularly goes swimming and plays netball; she's also been known to flourish a tennis racket when the sun shines (a very occasional hobby in England, then). A self-confessed bookworm, she has a list as long as her arm to get through, but anything about Stonehenge will be held at arm's length; having worked at the ancient site, she has more niche facts about Neolithic life than she's ever likely to need.
