Carbon Offsetting
The majority of our customers take long-haul flights to Japan. As everyone knows flying is the most polluting form of transport. A return flight from London Heathrow to Tokyo Narita produces 2.03 tonnes of CO2 for example.
There are many carbon offset schemes available for those of you who wish to contribute. We recommend you visit Reduce My Footprint, a carbon-offset scheme recognised by our trade association, AITO (The Association of Independent Tour Operators). http://www.reducemyfootprint.travel/
Of course there are other ways to travel to Japan; rail across Siberia, ferries from China. Some of our staff have used these methods. We'd be more than happy to plan an itinerary that starts at a ferry port, so please get in touch.
