InsideJapan Tours wins Small Tour Operator of the Year accolade at 2009 British Travel Awards
The Japan specialists take the silver award in keenly contested category at the prestigious travel industry awards
InsideJapan Tours is proud to have won the coveted silver award for ‘Small Tour Operator of the Year’ at the travel industry’s biggest awards ceremony. InsideJapan Tours received considerable public support amongst the thousands of votes cast through the British Travel Awards’ website, as well as recognition from a panel of industry expert judges, to claim the prize. Narrowly missing out on the gold award, the company beat eight other short-listed finalists for the silver accolade.
“It is a fantastic achievement for a company of our size to win such an award, and to beat some comparatively large companies in the process,” said Inside Japan Tours’ Director Alastair Donnelly. “It is great recognition from the industry and more importantly from the public, reflecting a high level of satisfaction from our customers, of whom so many took time to vote. This is testament to our small team’s passion for Japan, their expertise, first class service and of course it pays tribute to a very special country”.
The British Travel Awards is recognised as the benchmark for excellence in travel combining public opinion and industry expertise. Since its conception in 2000, InsideJapan Tours has grown and developed its undisputed passion for the country, producing a range of innovative Small Group Tours, Self Guided Packages and tailor-made trips to suit any budget and interest.
Adapting to the economic downturn, InsideJapan Tours recently introduced budget Self Guided packages and Small Group Tours. The ‘7-night Price Cruncher’ Self Guided Adventure, from £600 pp; and the 13-night ‘Japan Unmasked’ Small Group tour, at £1,400 pp, were created to allow people to discover Japan and its culture on a limited budget without compromising on quality.
InsideJapan Tours has also created some very original Self Guided Adventures such as the environmentally responsible 16-night ‘Paths Less Travelled’ package from £1,997 pp, taking in Kyoto and the island of Shikoku, and the 13-night ‘Discover Japan by Bike’ trip, from £2,148 pp, with a new perspective on the mountains, seas and temples of Japan.
Ground-breaking Small Group Tours have been introduced over the last year or so with the ‘Winter Highlights’ tour, priced £2,700 pp, taking in the stunning scenery and wildlife that Hokkaido has to offer, along with the snow monkeys that enjoy the hot spring baths of the Japan Alps. The 13-night ‘Nature and Culture’ tour, priced £2,750 pp, takes in Japan’s classic sights and gets up close and personal with wild monkeys and black bears deep in Japan’s picturesque mountains.
Keen to broaden the choice of high-quality holidays available, InsideJapan Tours is planning to add to its impressive portfolio over the coming year.
