Japanese car manufacturer
Toyota has announced it will reveal its latest concept car model at the
Tokyo Motor Show later this month.
The company will show its
Toyota FT-86 Concept on its stand at the event on October 21st, with pictures of the ruby-red car already released.
Motor Trend noted that the new car is "packed with enough emotional content to satisfy fans of the departed Supra, MR-2 and Celica", which have all been popular in the past with motoring fans with an interest in performance cars.
"It is about time
Toyota offered something exciting," the site claimed.
Toyota said that due to the car's lightness and low centre of gravity, drivers could enjoy handling similar to that seen in racing cars.
The vehicle also boasts similar mileage to a normal car, despite being a sporty model.
It is the brainchild of a team-up between the Japanese motoring giant and fellow car firm Subaru, which is also known for high powered vehicles.
