Summer Sonic to take place in August
The Summer Sonic music festival takes place in Tokyo and Osaka from August 7th to 9th.

This year's line-up features the likes of Beyonce, Linkin Park and My Chemical Romance, reports Whatsonwhen.

In Osaka, the festival will take place at the Maishima Site, while the event in the Japanese capital will be held at the Marine Stadium and Makuhari Messe in Chiba.

Previous performers at the annual festival have included punk legends The Sex Pistols, former Jam frontman Paul Weller and Brit pop group Coldplay.

Also taking place soon is the Tokyo Summer Festival, which will be held at venues throughout the city, such as Sogestu Hall and Kioh Hall.

This year, the event will be celebrating its 25th anniversary with a host of concerts, performances, interactive dance shows and orchestral recitals.

Past themes have included Italy, islands and forests.
