Anime Fair to take place in March
Animation fans may be interested to learn that the Tokyo International Anime Fair takes place in the Japanese capital from March 18th to 21st.

Each year, thousands of anime fans descend on the fair which takes place at the Tokyo Big Sight.

Among the attractions at the four-day event will be trade stalls, exhibitions, screenings and the eagerly anticipated Tokyo Anime Awards.

The Grand Prize at the awards is one million yen which will be presented to the creator of the most outstanding anime work.

Holidaymakers intending to go along to the event should bear in mind that the first two days are intended for industry insiders only.

The public will be allowed into the fair on the Friday and Saturday, reports Whatsonwhen.

Anime first orginated in Japan around the time of the First World War.

The animations are either hand-drawn or digitally animated and appear regularly in films, TV servies, video games and adverts. ADNFCR-1445-ID-19032566-ADNFCR
