The organisers of the MTV Video Music Awards Japan have announced that there will be a party after this year's event. But it will be an after-party with a difference.
After the event, which will reward musicians from across the world with a coveted VMA Japan prize, there will be a flea market held where fans can buy some of their heroes' belongings, according to the Japan Times.
The proceeds from the event, called the Flea Market for
Tohoku, will go to victims of the earthquake and tsunami which hit Japan on March 11th.
Tohoku is the region of Japan that was worst affected by the disaster, containing the prefectures of
Akita, Aomori, Fukushima, Iwate, Miyagi and
Yamagata. People hoping to attend the event to see stars such as Anna Tsuchiya, Ai and Thelma Aoyama, can get tickets for the flea market from the artists' websites or from the webpage of the region itself.
