New camera aims to improve appearance
A new camera has been launched that can help to improve the appearance of the subject.

Japanese electronics maker Panasonic Corp has launched the new 12.1-megapixel Lumix FX77 which is capable of whitening teeth, improving skin colour as well as removing bags from under the eyes and giving the appearance of make-up.

Akiko Enoki, a Panasonic project manager in charge of developing the camera, explained that demand for the new device has been high as people hope to improve their appearance in photographs.

"According to data we've acquired, around 50 percent of our digital camera clients are not satisfied with the way their faces look in a photograph," she told Reuters.

"So we came up with the idea so our clients can fix parts they don't like about their faces after they've taken the picture."
