A new station is due to be opened at the Haneda airport in Japan, which could be of use to those heading to the country on international flights to
Tokyo. Keihin Electric Express Railways announced it is to open Haneda Airport International Terminal Station on October 21st this year.
According to the firm, the railway station has been "designed with ease of use foremost in mind" and platforms have been made wide enough to easily cope with luggage carts.
Lifts mean that travellers need not struggle with large bags and a railway station concierge will be available to help tourists. The concierge can be found at the guidance desk near to the arrivals ticket gate and can speak four different languages, the company said.
The other main airport in
Tokyo is
Narita International, which is also one of the main hubs for Japan Airlines, the country's flag carrier. Both airports are among the busiest in the whole of Asia.
