Japanese rider enjoys victory at Cadwell
Japanese superbike rider Ryuichi Kiyonari has raced to victory at the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship at Cadwell Park.

The rider won the opening race in the fourth round of the event and the win holds special significance as the circuit in Lincolnshire is the only one on the biking calendar that he had not yet conquered.

Speaking about the win to the Press Association, Kiyonari said: "Many times I have tried but until now I have never won. For me, this is perfect, and this win is for my son Koma who was born six days ago and my wife Madoka."

He also said that he enjoyed racing at the circuit but found it the most difficult track in England in an interview with news source the Grimsby Telegraph.

However, later in the day Kiyonari was hit by a technical problem in a warm up lap, which led him to pull out of the second race of the day.

This race was eventually won by his team mate at HM Plant Honda Josh Brookes.
