Japan offers 'honeymoon of a lifetime'
Brits looking for an ideal place to jet off to after getting married could find that Japan offers them the chance to experience a unique and memorable honeymoon.

Speaking about the country, executive director at the Japan National Tourism Organisation's London office Koichiro Yoshida said: "Honeymooners are invariably after a trip of a lifetime which makes Japan a very strong draw."

And despite the recession and subsequent belt tightening which many in the UK have been forced to do with their holiday spending, Japan still represents a good value destination for both a honeymoon or a normal getaway, he said.

People who have taken a trip to the country say it is "extraordinary" value, Mr Yoshida claimed.

A survey from travel website sunshine.co.uk recently found that Japan is the 7th most popular place for people to take a honeymoon, with other countries on the list including New York, Egypt and Las Vegas.
