This wonderful introductory journey features the highlights of Japan on a 8 night trip staying in modern Tokyo and historic Kyoto. You will be riding the iconic Shinkansen 'Bullet' Train between these two cities which perfectly showcase the two sides of Japan – both modern and ancient.

We have included a half day of guiding in both destinations plus an energetic Taiko drumming experience in Tokyo and a hands-on cookery class in Kyoto. Accommodation is in a triple room plus extra bed in Tokyo at the start, a self-catering ‘machiya’ Japanese style town house in Kyoto and in connecting rooms in Tokyo at the end.

Breakfast is included for both stays in Tokyo. Airport transfers are by private car with meet and greet on arrival. All in all a great value package showcasing all the highlights of Japan in true, techicolour glory!
