Overview

Rated No.1 for white-water rafting in Japan, the Yoshino River offers a unique way to appreciate the spectacular scenery of rural Shikoku.

The half day course offers a slightly gentler introduction whilst the full day course is for the more adventurous as it follows a world class rafting run. There are also canyoning courses available which can be either done on their own or combined with the rafting.

The instructors are fully licensed and have international rafting experience. They also speak excellent English which ensures an enjoyable and safe experience.

Rafting on the Yoshino river is not necessarily the most traditional way to experience rural Japan but certainly an exciting one!

Recommended from April to November so that it?s not too cold!


Where:
The Yoshino river runs through Kochi and Tokushima Prefecture on the Island of Shikoku. The rafting is based in Iwahara which is is just on the border of the two prefectures and close to the Iya Valley.
