Excellent experience from beginning to end. The service was friendly, prompt, and perfectly suited to my travel style. Highly recommend Inside Japan!

Amy did a fabulous job helping to customize the 7-night price cruncher to match our interests and budget. In addition to Tokyo, Kyoto, and Hakone, we got to spend a wonderful night at a temple in Koya-san -- a terrific counterpart to the hustle and bustle of Japan's major cities.

How would you rate the accommodation against your expectations?
It was a great help to have well-located and comfortable accommodations booked by InsideJapan Tours. I loved the Japanese breakfasts and enjoyed staying in places that weren't swamped with other tourists! There was always someone on staff who spoke some English, which was extremely helpful.

Please give us your comments on the transport included in your package.
The transport worked out flawlessly -- even a very complicated trek from Tokyo to Koya-san involving several transfers went off without a hitch thanks to InsideJapan's good instructions and planning.

How do you rate the usefulness and standard of information in the Info-Pack?
General Comments
One of my favorite meals, of which there were oh so many, was a neighborhood restaurant recommended by the hotel staff. No one spoke a word of English, but we finally convinced our nice young waiter to pick several dishes for us (osusume) and an excellent local beer. It was a fabulous mystery meal served in a place we would have never found on our own or in any guidebook...priceless.

I loved being able to combine independent travel (not feeling trapped in a tour group) with the convenience of having the logistics of travel and accommodations booked by experts. The Info-Pack was also a great trove of recommendations for things to do and places to eat.

Our 7-Night Price Cruncher is a great option for those budget-minded travelers who still want to see the main sites of Japan like Tokyo and Kyoto. Like many of our itineraries, it can be customized to include special places of interest like Mount Koya, where you can in a Buddhist temple as pilgrims have done for centuries!
