How would you describe your overall level of satisfaction with us as your tour operator?
Good Customer Rating
I had a brilliant week in Japan. Having my accommodation and travel booked for me made it really easy.

Maddy was very helpful and pleasant. I would have preferred more consultation about my travel arrangements. I thought the flights/trains chosen for me were not ideal times. The hotels were very good.

How would you rate the accommodation against your expectations?
Met my expectations
Accommodation was generally good. Some hotels put me into smoking rooms and I had to ask to change. The Ryokan did not seem to know about my allergies or else they didn't understand because I was served food I was allergic to.

Please give us your comments on the transport included in your package.
The travel to and from Hakone was booked at odd times - I wouldn't have had time to do the full loop if I hadn't changed the train to Tokyo. As it was I had to get a taxi from the lake to Yamoto-Hakone to make the train I changed to. My flight from Sapporo was very late at night so by the time I got to my hotel in Kyoto it was after midnight which was a bit late.

Please comment on any professional guiding included in your package?
There were about 40 of us on the night time tour of Gion which was too crowded. It was a good tour but would have been better if the size had been limited. The cycling tour of Tokyo was brilliant! An ideal way to see the major Tokyo sights in one day.

How do you rate the usefulness and standard of information in the Info-Pack?

General Comments
Some of the directions in the info pack weren't great. I arrived in Hakone in the dark and could not locate my Ryokan so I had to get a taxi, luckily there was one on the street. The maps included in the pack weren't great. The tourist office in Kyoto had excellent tourist maps of Kyoto and Nara which would have been much better. The accommodation was very good generally. The guides to the towns were a bit too generic, I ended up relying on my Japan guide book to decide where to visit.

Would you travel again with InsideJapan Tours?
Maybe
The main reason I used you was because I had never been before and I was nervous about getting around. Also I didn't have time to arrange it myself. As such it was ideal to book with you. After this trip I now have the confidence to book it all myself. Although if I don't have time I'll definitely contact you again.
